Our world is forever changed. The happiness that Lucy has brought into our lives is immeasurable. We knew she was coming, we had everything ready, but there was no way to prepare our hearts for the overflow of love we’re experiencing now. Each day for her is a rush of brand new sensations and it’s a thrill to watch her little eyes soak it all in for the first time.
She has infinite paths ahead of her and now it’s our responsibility to guide her as best as we can. That’s a challenge that is both exhilarating and frightening at the same time. This little girl, who is two weeks into this big world, can do anything and be anybody. We cannot wait to watch her grow into a strong, beautiful woman… see her stumble, get back up, brush herself off, and charge ahead with confidence.
She has already changed us for the better in more ways than we can count. And maybe it’s the sleep deprivation making us delirious, but we’re pretty convinced she’s going to change the world for the better as well. 😉
